MANNY VILLAR BETTER THAN OBAMA?

I'm not sure what Manny Villar is thinking when he confidently stated that he is better than President Obama. Sure, he became Speaker of the Lower House and Senate President but does it really mean that he is better than OBama?

When he was the Speaker of the House his most memorable achievement was when he passed the impeachment complaint against ERAP . However, I can't really think of anything major that he accomplished as Speaker of the House. Except for the fact that at least minute he decided to go against ERAP, House of representative was always known as the rubberstamp of ERAP. It was composed of mostly traditional politicians (TRAPOS), that do what the sitting President tells them. He was I believe was elected Speaker of the House because of his Billions- the glare of money enticed all the TRAPOS to elect him. That's my opinion.

As Senate president, I cannot recall of any major achievement that he accomplished. Most of the Senate hearings are conducted but without no end result like ZTE scandal....etc...he was ousted as Senate President after Senator Jamby Madrigal accused him of being involved in the C-5 road mess. I do believe that there is TRUTH in that accusation. He did gained from that C-5 controversy.

Now, he is telling us that he is better that OBAMA!!! If he is , how come he is scared to attend the SEnate hearing regarding the C-5 controversy or how about attending the Harapan Debate? President Obama love town hall meetings, debates but how come Villar is scared of it? Are you scared to be asked abt. the C-5 mess ?

I used to like Senator Villar but lately everytime he opens his mouth, ARROGANCE comes out of his mouth. How can we trust him with the highest position in the land when he is so arrogant.

Does anyone believe that he is willing to spend Billions of pesos of his OWN money just to serve the people for 6 years?.....Does anyone believe that he will never try to recoup the money once elected ? As a senator he used his office to profit from the C-5 road, how much more when he becomes a president.

  1. hayayay! May I ask you, what did Obama do before he became President? How many bills has he passed? I'm sure you don't know...
Sen. Villar became House Speaker and Senate President (and by the way, he's the only one who has done so in both lower and upper house). Do you think it's so easy to be chosen as such in both houses? I think, with those two elections, it clearly showed that his peers and colleagues trusted him and his leadership.

Can you think of anyone in the Philippines who has impeached a seating President? Can't you see it as an accomplishment? It's integrity at work...he stood up for his principles, though he knew it would mean losing more opportunities for him as Speaker of the House then.

And do you call someone "arrogant" when he only tells the truth about his accomplishments and what he can do to this country? And do you vote for someone based on his arrogance or meekness? Think again.

I suggest that you put your biases aside and lay down the facts first, then comment later. Research if you must. Yes, I agree that we need to closely scrutinize the presidentiables. But let's not lose objectivity.

I'm not a pro-Villar or a pro-Noynoy or pro-other candidates. I just want to encourage people to think more objectively in choosing their candidates. I for one hasn't chosen my candidate yet, but I'm examining them objectively and not just through hearsays and baseless accusations.

do you think villar did not use his position in the C-5 controversy?....do you think he will not try to re-coup any centavo of the billions he is willing to spend just to serve the people?(just repeating the bloggers question?). is he the best candidate in terms of integrity and honest among the candidates?
